A little blog about the life of a somewhat lost dreamer....looking for my grace in this crazy world.

22 November 2012

It's Thanksgiving...

And in spite of car repairs, break ins, and sick parents (among so many other things), there is just so much in my world to be so very thankful for... We will be making a trip to Milwaukee in about three weeks to watch my son graduate.  My daughter has been out on her own since May and is doing just great.  Christmas is just around the corner, and a brand new year follows so fast it isn't funny.  Presuming, of course, that the Mayan calendar is off a bit...

Not to mention those gloriously on fire red maple trees... oh my goodness, the sunlight through those leaves... there are no words.

So, let's celebrate a bit... it's been a bit since I did a give away...

Remember the little house that didn't fit?

But did become a cute little decoration all on it's own...

It's wee... and it's tiny... and it's covered in glitter... and, it can be yours.  Here are the rules:

  • You must leave a comment on this post.  Everyone gets one entry.  Something nice about what you are thankful for would be good... or whatever you would like to add.
  •  That comment must be left by midnight (I am on Eastern daylight savings time), Wednesday, November 28th, 2012.
  • The winner will be randomly chosen on Thursday, November 29th, 2012, and will be announced here on the blog.  They have 48 hours to email me with a mailing address.  If they do not email me, another winner will be chosen.
Pretty simple, huh?

There's another surprise coming the first of December for everyone who follows my blog... and it will be available to only those who follow the blog... so be sure to check back to see what it will be!

Edit (11/29/2012)
Comments are now closed for the little house... it's on the way to Cherie's house!

In this devastating economy, I'm thankful for my artistic talents. They are another little world to which I can travel and not have to spend a lot which frees up extra $$$ for wounded warriors and Sandy victims!

Oh, there are SO many things to be thankful for. Always, when asked that question, my first response is Terry. I am so very lucky to have Terry. Then the list gets too long to recite here.

xx, Carol

Your giveaways are always terrific! It's just a joy visiting your pretty, happy, thoughtful place here - giveaways or no ...

So I'm grateful for you, June!

I'm also grateful for my craft abilities. I can make do with less in tough times and help others with ways to do so as well.

What a lovely giveaway! I'm grateful for my hubby and our wonderful marriage. And like June, I'm thankful to have the ability to "get lost" in the creative world.

I've been following your adventure of the little houses and I've been amused and amazed. I can't believe how tiny they are and I really love how the bottle turned out. Your little house that didn't fit, absolutely darling! You've created such a beautiful little scene, love it.
As to what I am grateful for, that would have to be my family. I'm grateful that we are all close, that we have our health and that life is pretty good right now.

As I celebrated my 2nd anniversary of being in remission, I was most thankful this Thanksgiving for God, from Whom ALL good things come, and for my family - as we all gathered together this year, it was such a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by those most dear to me - the most precious treasure of all!!!
And I adore that little house, glitter and all!!

Just love that little house! Hoping to make some one of these days! I am so thankful that my son's first Thanksgiving away from home was good. So happy that a new friend had him over and he had a good time. Sure did miss him though!

Gorgeous little house!
I'm in the UK so we don't celebrate Thanksgiving but I'm thankful for my husband's continuing recovery and my daughter's first real job!

I just love your tiny houses. These days I'm grateful just for having the basic needs of my family. Food, shelter, and family. What more do you need?

That is so cute!!! I can see this inspiring my little girl who loves to craft all things 3d! I don't blog much, but think often about blogging everything I make!

Forgot to post what I am thankful about... I am thankful for the creativeness that God has blessed me with and that I am able and willing to share that with anyone who wants to play along with me in my craft room... Thanks again!
