A little blog about the life of a somewhat lost dreamer....looking for my grace in this crazy world.

21 October 2012

I really want to make a spooky house...

I mean, the leaves are on fire here.  The temps have cooled.  The sun has that particular golden color you only find in the fall of the year.  Halloween is right around the corner... and I even have the plans drawn out for a couple of small spooky houses... but my head is stuck on Christmas.  Try as I might to get involved with the Halloween spirit... it's just not happening.  So... I give... Halloween will just have to go on without me this year...

In the mean time, I have a couple of Christmas ornaments I'm going to share with you this week.  Tonight though, I'm sharing the Crafty Blogger links... check this out...

Cherie is making some of her glass garden sculptures with solar lights... how cool is that?  I'm planning a fairy garden next spring so I am definitely book marking this!  (I know she's making lights, but she also had such a sweet photo of her Genevieve I couldn't resist showing you... go to her site to see the lights!)

Clear Glass Sculpture With Teal Solar Light
Cherie uses glass pieces, a solar light, and some teal beads to create a garden sculpture.

And just look at what Eileen has been doing... she's cleaning and repairing a bracelet her hubby gave her when they were dating... I love charm bracelets, so I'll definitely be checking this out!

Eileen restores and upgrades a badly damaged charm bracelet.

Cindy has finished her sequin quilt... and it's gorgeous, just like everything she does!

Mixed Media Artist
Cyndi has figured out how to finish off her sequined quilt and is majorly relieved about it!

Stefanie is in a Halloween mood... and check out what she's made... from book pages, my favorite thing!

Tammy shares some info about specials over at Namatase... pretty bags, aren't they?

Crafty Princess Diaries
Namaste is known for its craft friendly bags. Tammy takes a look at a few and gives you the scoop on a special offer available during October.

And, meanwhile... over at Craftside, there's some healthy eats going on... and giveaways too!

This week at Craftside we have a double giveaway filled with Mod Podge, Martha Stewart glass paints and books along with a fun recycled Halloween lamp tutorial and a recipe for a dreamsicle shake.

And here's a sneak peak at what I'm going to be sharing with you in the next post...
