A little blog about the life of a somewhat lost dreamer....looking for my grace in this crazy world.

I am a little late jumping on this wagon....
This is a screen shot of a live webcam feed from Decorah, Iowa. That little grey ball of fluff on the lower left side is a baby eagle (technically an eaglet). There is another one keeping warm under the momma, and an egg that has yet to hatch. (Hopefully that will happen any day now.)
This is fascinating. Utterly and truly fascinating. If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out (click on the pic)... but be warned, you may not be able to take your eyes off of it either.
This must be the latest thing as a friend turned me on to one on the east coast that has a moderated discussion: http://www.wvec.com/marketplace/microsite-content/eagle-cam.html that I have been following. It was perfect timing as I had recently watched a video on painting a bald eagle and there sat one 'posing' for hours! I love it. And enjoy following your blog too.
I heard about this one on public radio yesterday and there were 156,000+ viewers on line when I checked it out. There is another one in Norfolk, VA, http://www.wvec.com/marketplace/microsite-content/eagle-cam.html Three eggs have hatched about a week ago there. Really cool.
We are so blessed to be a witness to this triumph in Nature...the eagle is so inspirational. Have a wonderful weekend! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

While I watched, mom was looking from side to side for something and I imagine her thinking, "Okay dad, where are you? I need a break!" Fascinating.
