A little blog about the life of a somewhat lost dreamer....looking for my grace in this crazy world.

A few more pages...

I'm at a stopping point in the journal I've been making. Not all of the pages are finished, some will still have things added to, some will probably stay as is, but isn't that what creating a journal is all about?

I'm mailing it off tomorrow... part of its journey will be created in another place, and I can't wait to share that experience with you when it arrives home safe and sound, but before I send it off for that adventure, I want to share a few more of the pages with you.

All of the pages started with 120 pound cold press watercolor paper. From there, they have all taken on a life of their own. You remember the photos I took on Halloween morning at the cemetery? Lots of them are in here. I love not only the color of the leaves, but the statuary... they played beautifully with the vintage pages from books...

As did the fortunes from a fortune cookie did with the bit of page from a Japanese novel...

Of course, my "signature" doodling is on pretty much every page...

Along with a few of the vintage nudes I think are so lovely, and the moon... I can't leave out the moon, you all know how much it fascinates me. And, needless to say, lots and lots and lots of color and texture.
(And if you are looking for vintage images that are copyright free to use, be sure to check out, and maybe even contribute an image or two to, Wikimedia Commons it's a great resource!)

And, now that the journal is off to the next part of the adventure its adventure I guess I need to find my next... anyone have any great ideas?

This is just gorgeous, June. I can't believe how your doodles make the images pop. Well, yes I can.

I'm a June-Doodle-Fan, as you know ;-)
