A little blog about the life of a somewhat lost dreamer....looking for my grace in this crazy world.

And... an accidental background...

This background came about because I messed up. Sometimes I might move a bit fast when I am painting backgrounds, especially if I am painting individual pages. One gets painted, moved off to the side, and another page gets put right on top of the paint from the last one.

This is what happens when you are spreading a lime green on the light teal background, and get the Formica chip in the hot pink that you just painted on the last page. I liked it, so decided that was where I should stop.

Now... have we got some great options for backgrounds or what?

Here's one that proves alcohol can be a very creative, even outside of a glass...

...and yet another that shows you can use it to create a faux aged effect...

Even though petroleum jelly doesn't list a peeling paint method under the "uses" area, it can be used as a resist to simulate peeling paint (wonder if it could be used with rubber stamps to create a pattern resist?).

Salt creates interesting effects in wet paint...

And glue does too...

So, now that we have all of these great possibilities... time to get back to images...

LOL. Love your sense of humor.

Off to Google using petroleum jelly for the peeled paint technique, haven't tried that one before.

Thanks for a great post.
