I haven't any idea how this has happened, but my baby turned eighteen today.
Was a beautiful day, sunny, warm...almost like the one when she was born 18 years ago.
She got some great gifts...
Her brother gave her the common cold...
My Bonus One gave her "Creepy Cute"...so very perfect for the Little One...(it's a book filled with patterns for "Creepy Cute" amigurumi...adorable)
And, a letter arrived from the University of Kentucky informing her that she had been chosen to receive the Parker scholarship, an academic merit scholarship worth $40,000.
I'm not sure the day could have been any better for her. (The dog was pretty happy too...)
What a lot to celebrate, huh?

And, in the interest of celebrating...it's time to give away the second doodle...Sew Here We Are gets doodle number two. Email me with the address you'd like the doodle mailed to!
In the mean time...I hope everyone has something wonderful to celebrate too!

awww, congrats on the daughters b-day! I remember well when my oldest reached that milestone (now 26). I was happy for her, pity party for me, lol. Won't even go into when the youngest hit that mark. Almost missed that I was the winner :-) THANKS! love it!
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP!!!!
Sorry ... I didn't mean to shout. I'm just sooo excited for you and your daughter.
Thank you for sharing your marvelous day.
