This is my friend Kellye...(hi Kellye!!) I love Kellye...she is one of the sweetest people I know, I mean the really good person kind of sweet. Kind of heart, and a good friend. She even looks adorable, doesn't she? She is too...she is also very sneaky and devious...but that will come into play later....somewhere around June I'm pretty sure...
I met Kellye a little over two years ago when I started working here. I really enjoy working with her...and I especially enjoy the friendship we've developed.
Now, I am not gonna say that I had a hand in all of this...'cause surely we know I would never be party to anything like this...(I'm watching for lightning bolts), but I will say that having a bicycle pump in my office yesterday sure made blowing up balloons a whole lot easier! And it was awfully nice of Kellye to leave early yesterday...it made it so very much easier for us to blow up all those black balloons....
When Kellye got to work this morning, the majority of us were already there, dressed in black, of course...one must give the proper respect to mourning the passing of youth. Even she came dressed in black, and she didn't get the memo. We waited and waited and waited until she got out of her vehicle to come into the office, and then acted totally nonchalant when she came in, I'm sure the fact that we were all hanging out by the door didn't tip her off to anything...right?
I think she knows us well enough to know that balloons on her door are only the beginning...
We had lots and lots of yummies...(this is Kay on the left and Connie....they had a hand in all the merry making...)
Everyone joined in for the cake and goodies...and, then there were gifts of course...a book that we'd all signed for her...
Filled with pearls of wisdom about turning older...
and a wish for the future...(more for me than her though...)
And to help her ward against the aches and pains and trials of growing older...an Old Age Voodoo Doll....
Now, like I mentioned earlier...I'm not admitting to having had any part of this...but, even if I had...really, you won't need to anything to call attention to mine latter this year...and all these threats of revenge...you know, they're just so over the top...don't ya think? And...really...the conspiracies going on already...are they necessary???
Oh...and Kellye, you know how I spelled the name wrong on the top part of the cake (but got it right on the front)...really...I didn't, it's just that eyesight of yours going...I hear that happens when we get older...

Oh how lucky Kellye is to have such good friends! What fun! I especially like the Old Age Voodoo doll :- ) May have to make one of those for myself...
And no, she doesn't look anything like 50!
